About

Who am I?  I’m a young woman caught between two worlds, a suburbanite with the best city in the world, Chicago on one side, and endless, enthralling nature on the other.  I proudly represent the red, white and blue of my country that runs through my veins as it mixes so beautifully with the colors of la isla del encanto – Puerto Rico – Ireland, Germany and Scotland.

I am a mutt of the world, historian, photographer, musician, activist, abolitionist, friend, daughter, sister.  Loyal (at times to a fault), caring, loving, understanding, devoted, intelligent, stubborn, anxious, worrisome.

My life is an adventure.  Every single day there are new lessons to be learned and challenges to overcome!  The  negativity that hovers around me is only a shadow and can easily be burned by the light of all the positive.  It can be burned by simply seeing how incredibly lucky I am in my life.  I am lucky for my family and friends, education, food on the table and health.  Why waste a second in sadness?

I am passionate about so many things and through a chain of unexpected events I’ve become involved in many wonderful nonprofits.  I work predominately with the issues of human trafficking, domestic violence and sexual assault, but I also volunteer a bit in Chicago with youth as well as animal rescue.  I will love and care for anyone or any creature that needs help.

There is so much to learn, see, hear, taste, feel in this world.  The moment we lost our curiosity, part of us dies.  That childish wonder and amazement is what allows us to thrive!  That is why I love to travel.  I haven’t been outside of the U.S. (yet), but I have been to 42 states.  Traveling for me is an addiction, the only way I can attempt to quench my never ending thirst for the world and everything in it.

I seek out souls who burn with a light to match mine, where our flames intertwine to shine upon the world with a feverish energy which the likes of you have never seen before!!  With rushing, frantically controlled thoughts and desires only to be satiated by our impulsive actions, that is how we live.  Just as Jack Kerouac said:

“The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones that never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue center light pop and everybody goes “Awww!”

Those are the people for me and those are the people I have found & continuously surround myself with.
